2007-2008 Academy Fee Schedule

The fees for the 2007-2008 season have been set at $12,900.  Please note, however, that if your application is received after June 24, 2007, the fee will be $13,900.  Players from outside Canada must add an ADDITIONAL FEE for the year (please phone Vauxhall High School at 403-654-4606 for more details on this extra fee).

Administration (office supplies, salaries, technology, travel) $3,300.00
Competition (accommodation, entry fees, officiating, travel, uniforms and gear, equipment and aids) $1,800.00
Housing (billeting, transportation) $4,000.00
Other instructors (sport psychologist, nutritionist, athletic therapist, etc.) $2,300.00
Other (marketing, recruitment, advertising, equipment, etc.) $1,500.00
Total: $12,900.00

Late Fee (if application is received after June 24, 2007) + $1,000.00 = $13,900.00

Payment Information

There are a total of four payments that will consist of one $1500 deposit (non-refundable) or $2000 (non-refundable and required if the application is received after June 24, 2007).  There will then be three subsequent installments ($3,800.00).  The first installment will be cashed upon receipt.  We require three post dated cheques (made payable to Vauxhall Academy of Baseball) for the other three payments that will be cashed on the due date.  All prices quoted are in Canadian funds.  Overdue accounts will be charged 1.25%/month (16.08% per annum).  Receipts will be issued for each taxation year.  Child care deductions for Players less than 16 years of age can be claimed on tax form T778, if both parents are working. 

Payment Schedule

  1. The deposit (non-refundable) of $1500 or $2000 (see above) is required upon acceptance
  2. Second installment of $3,800 is due July 1, 2006, or upon acceptance if after July 1, 2007
  3. Third installment of $3,800 is due September 1, 2007
  4. Fourth installment of $3,800 is due December 1, 2007

Scholarships

The Province of Alberta has a variety of scholarships that you may be eligible for based on various criteria. To help you search for available scholarships as provided by the Alberta Government search the Alberta Learning Information Service website. Alberta students are also eligible for the Alexander Rutherford scholarship that provides financial assistance based on the students grades in their high school years.

The Vauxhall Academy is currently reviewing the concepts of offering financial scholarships to recruit high calibre athletes to our program. These scholarships will be announced as they are developed.
