Community Involvement
A key component of the Vauxhall Academy of Baseball is the requirement of all our players to understand the importance of their community. Our young student athletes are an active part of their community through a variety of volunteer activities. Whether it is helping a senior citizen, spending time at the elementary school, or attending community celebrations our athletes will understand the importance of how a community helps each other reach their dreams and potential. Currently the Academy has a good working relationship with the senior citizens of Vauxhall. Our student athletes go to the seniors’ center where they play games together and it allows our athletes the chance to talk and get to know our towns older generation. So far, it has been very beneficial to both groups as the feedback has been nothing but positive from both the seniors as well as the student athletes. The players are involved in many community activities focusing on the youth of Vauxhall. These include baseball camps, AADAC promotions and are active in the Elementary school of Vauxhall helping out wherever it is needed. Our intentions of having our student athletes involved with community activities is to show our athletes the benefits of being an active citizen in their community.
